I’ve been trying to learn more about UX lately, mostly because I keep noticing how some apps just feel smoother than others. At first I thought it was random, but now I’m pretty sure there’s a lot of thought behind it. The problem is, I don’t really know where to read about this stuff without getting into overly technical articles. Do you have any go-to places where you read about UX or digital trends in a simple way?

I usually mix a few sources depending on how deep I want to go. Sometimes I just read blog posts that break things down in a more casual way instead of heavy design theory. For example, I found this article https://www.daylox.com/blog/why-mobile-entertainment-apps-feel-more-personal-than-desktop-platforms/ and it explained in a really clear way why mobile apps feel more tailored to users. After reading things like that, I started paying more attention to small details like how apps recommend content or how they guide you without being obvious. It doesn’t feel like studying, more like understanding patterns.

It’s interesting how people often pick up on usability differences without having the vocabulary to describe them. Over time, repeated exposure to certain layouts or interaction styles creates a kind of expectation, even if it’s not something consciously analyzed.
