Our kitchen wiring is old, and I’m unsure if the electrical work is done properly. I’d like the contractor to take this into account before starting work. How should I ask the right questions in my ad so that I’ll immediately attract people who are skilled in both electrical and plumbing work, not just tiling?

When your usage is older wiring it’s safer to take precautions right at start. In your advertisement, include a notation stating that the electrical system in the kitchen must have a proper inspection done prior to starting the renovation project and that the chosen contractor must have experience in completion with comprehensive electrical, plumbing, and finishing services. You should also request to see examples of previously completed kitchens and any applicable supporting documentation regarding the qualifications of those contractors. A good example of this process can be found on ag-renovations.co.uk which also closely resemble what a turnaround kitchen looks/ works in relation to utilities.
